Prediction and explanation aren"t the same thing i. e. ancient egyptians could predict the sun would rise but couldn"t explain it. Understanding behaviour is necessary when trying to manage it: managing ob. Management art of getting things accomplished in orgs through others. If we truly understand a behaviour then we can most likely manage it. Strict chain of command in which each member reports to only a single superior. Criteria for selection and promotion based on impersonal technical skills rather than nepotism or favouritism.
